Under the water, on the ground or mountain high
There is so much to choose from, in and around Kota Kinabalu, when it comes to recreational activities. Here your dreams come true! The first thing to do when considering which sport you are going to take when you are on vacation, is that you will have a positive experience and what you hope to gain from it.

When it comes to water sports there is an excellent range to choose: The number one is sport diving, no where else you will find better conditions. Snorkelling or scuba, the choice is yours. Over the surface there is sailing, windsurfing, water and jet skiing, kayaking and much more to do. Even in the hotels swimming pools there are daily arranged a lot of activities,
Golf can be played just meters from the sea or at high altitude. There are first class championship golf courses here.

In some hotels as well as in sport clubs in the city, you can go to aerobic or martial arts training, such as karate, kickboxing or tai chi classes.
If you want to take it a little easy, then go for some of the nature walks in the rain forest. Next step is jungle trekking and the ultimate challenge – still possible for anyone in good shape – is to climb the Mount Kinabalu.

Perhaps you want to see others sweating. Then the Kota Kinabalu “Rhinos” is a perfect choice, they are playing their football (soccer) home games in the very nice Likas Stadium.
